Shannon has a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse for about twenty years. She worked as a mental health nurse on the ACT team, and it was during that time that she discovered her passion for helping others who are struggling with mental illness, anxiety, depression, and substance abuse. Shannon is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) at Anchor Family Therapy. Shannon enjoys working with children, teens, adults, and families. She also has a passion for children and adults who have special needs and for parents of individuals with special needs. Shannon uses a combination of play therapy, talk therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She believes that all people are created in the image of God, and she strives to show the love of Jesus to each client who walks through the door. When she is not working, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys
