Carolyne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA), and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCASA). She earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Meredith College and her Master of Social Work degree from East Carolina University. 

Carolyne has a focus on concepts of trust and creating a safe environment, so you feel free to process thoughts and develop healthy coping skills. She centers the session on reducing, managing, and eliminating negative symptoms. She emphasizes open and honest communication while maintaining a non-judgmental approach. She creates an individualized experience and centers the therapeutic process around your personal goals.

Carolyne has a passion for mental health. She believes you are capable of overcoming challenges for a more manageable life without continuing to carry around the weight of the past or current struggles. She believes counseling allows you to process feelings and often leads to better relationships, solutions to specific problems, and relief from feelings of distress. Your healing does not have to wait any longer!

She incorporates a variety of evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and a strength-based approach when meeting with clients to provide a collaborative experience in managing mental health and substance use symptoms. 

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family on the coast of NC. She enjoys traveling around the world and has quite the bucket list of new places to see!
